Story City council approves $669,245 wastewater payment, Broad Street change order and multiple engineering amendments

The Story City Council on July 7 approved several construction payments, change orders and contract amendments on the consent/administrative agenda.
Council approved Wastewater Treatment Facility Upgrade Pay Application No. 24 for $669,245.55 and Broad Street Reconstruction Project Phase IV Change Order No. 1 for $96,517.05. Parker Hulbert of CGA was present to answer questions about the Broad Street change order. The motion to approve construction pay applications and change orders was made by Council Member Phillips and seconded by Council Member Abrams; the vote was recorded as Ostrem, Phillips, Solberg and Abrams — aye; motion carried.
Council also approved Amendment No. 1 to the engineering services agreement with CGA for the Broad Street Reconstruction Project Phase IV for $14,500 and Amendment No. 1 to CGA for the Hillcrest Culvert Replacement Project for $2,900. An engineering services agreement with MSA for the Sump Pump Inspection Program Year 7 was approved at a cost of $15,000. Each of those motions was recorded as carried 4-0.
