The Franklin Lakes Board of Education on Nov. 11 approved several personnel actions covering appointments, stipends and zero‑period pay.
Resolutions 2029–2031 authorized the appointment of Staci Walby as a paraeducator at High Mountain Road School at a prorated annual salary of $35,036, effective Dec. 1, 2025; Nicole Linn as a non‑tenurable leave replacement teacher (Step 6, MA) at a prorated salary of $66,031, effective Dec. 15, 2025; and Olivia DeLorenzo as a non‑tenurable leave replacement teacher (Step 4, BA) at a prorated salary of $60,101, effective Jan. 5, 2026. Each appointment is contingent on clearance of a Criminal History Records Check and, for emergent hires, the district’s application to the Commissioner under N.J.S.A. 18A:6‑7.1c for temporary approval prior to background clearance.
The board approved changes to Technology Assistant stipends at High Mountain Road School under Resolution 2032 and additional Schedule B‑2 stipends under Resolution 2033, at contractual FLEA rates; Resolution 2034 approved an additional prorated Zero Period payment for Dawn Dransfield (FAMS) totaling $8,250 prorated for Nov. 3, 2025–June 30, 2026. The minutes record salary steps, dates and contingency language tied to contract execution and background checks.
The personnel resolutions were included in the consent agenda and recorded in the minutes; the district will proceed with required filings to the Commissioner of Education where emergent hiring authority is requested.
