Trustees questioned how retirement contributions (WRS) and benefit-cost sharing are handled; administrators said the district’s contribution mirrors its practice of using teacher-contract equivalencies and noted the village handles certain employer contributions.
On academics, trustees approved the district’s 2024–25 academic standards public notice as required annually and enacted a modest increase to school lunch fees for the upcoming year. The board also authorized creation of a girls wrestling varsity head-coach position, with pay set at the district’s head-coach rate; the new coach will work under the current head coach.
All motions on these items passed by roll call. The SRO contract vote was recorded as approval contingent on the village’s signature. Trustees were asked to follow up with village leaders if necessary to finalize the agreement before the school year.
