Board members nominated Laurie "Lori" Eckert for staff member of the month, calling attention to her 35 years at Dysart and wide-ranging contributions to students and the community.
S1 described Eckert's roles: varsity field hockey coach, ski-club advisor, bowling-club advisor, period-10 tutor, organizer of the 5th-grade outdoor education trip to Camp Mason, volunteer with the health foundation, participant on union committees and an active church volunteer. "We believe that Lori Eckert deserves to be a staff member of the month. She is hardworking, loyal to the school, super involved, a great teacher, and even a better friend," S1 said.
Another board member congratulated Eckert on 35 years of service and noted a certificate acknowledging that milestone. The nomination drew supportive remarks from multiple members and closed with a motion to recognize Eckert.
