Administration proposed posting the vacancy on April 23, setting an application deadline of Friday, May 2, scanning and distributing applications to trustees shortly after the deadline, and possibly interviewing candidates at a May 7 workshop with appointment at the May 21 regular meeting.
Trustees agreed administration will post the vacancy, collect and scan applications, and provide trustee access to candidate materials in advance of any interviews. The appointed successor would serve until a successor is elected per statute (the timeline depends on whether the term expires in the final year). The board did not make a formal appointment at the April 16 meeting; the process to solicit and review applicants was approved by consensus.
