At its July 22 meeting the Williams Bay School District board approved personnel transactions that included employee resignations and recommended hires and approved job descriptions and handbook amendments for assistant varsity coaching positions.
Dr. White summarized personnel actions: resignation of Emily Brown (elementary general music teacher), resignations among coaching staff (including Caleb Eddington and Andrea Deal), and recommendations to hire Anne Dobler (general music teacher), Rebecca Knowles (special education paraprofessional), Paul Schneider (head varsity girls basketball coach) and Marty Count (head varsity girls softball coach). A motion to approve the personnel transactions was moved and approved by voice vote.
Separately, the board approved job descriptions for assistant varsity basketball coaches after discussion of how assistant coaches provide hands‑on coaching time during long seasons. The board amended the 2024–25 employee handbook to add the assistant varsity positions to the extra‑duty pay appendix with a three‑tier stipend schedule: $3,500 for no experience, $4,000 for 3–5 years, and $4,500 for 6+ years.
Board members said the changes were intended to strengthen athletic programs and provide clarity on pay and responsibilities.
