The chair said the county is expected to assume licensing and inspection responsibilities for multiple towns in the future, allowing a single county inspection to cover many municipalities.
Council member (mover) moved to introduce the ordinance; a second was recorded and the council adopted the introduction on a roll call vote. The council scheduled a public hearing on the ordinance for Monday, May 19 at 9:00 a.m. in borough hall.
If adopted after the required hearing and subsequent vote, the ordinance would change the borough’s fee structure by creating an option for recurring vendors to pay an annual fee rather than a per‑event charge.
