Green Township accepts paving work on Pequest, Sutton and Mackerley Roads, approves line-striping change order

The Green Township Committee accepted the milling and paving work on Pequest, Sutton and Mackerley Roads and authorized payment to the contractors at its Jan. 6 meeting.
Following a review and recommendation by Township Engineer Cory Stoner, the committee approved final payment to Riverview Paving, Inc. in the amount of $178,405.36 for milling and paving. The committee also approved a change order for line striping that increases the Denville Line Painting, Inc. contract by $1,570.59 to a revised total of $9,228.59.
The resolutions adopting the payments state the engineer has recommended acceptance of the completed project. The committee's action formally closes the contract work for these roads and allows the finance office to process the final payments.
The paving work had been awarded under the Morris County Cooperative Pricing Council procurement; the payment and change order were approved by roll call vote with all members present voting in favor.
