CID board approves proposed 2025 budget after brief questions on contractual-services line

The CID board approved a resolution adopting the proposed 2025 budget after a presentation by Valon, a representative of Baker Tilly, and a short question-and-answer period about several line items.

Valon presented the budget materials and said, "Everything that we're presenting here, is we're very confident in," while noting the only likely change next year would be the final debt-service principal-and-interest amounts tied to interest-rate movements. The chair introduced the agenda item as the only action for the meeting and invited questions from board members.

A board member pressed the presenter on a $307,000 line labeled "contractual services — other," noting that 2023 actuals were far lower and that only about $5,000 had been expended for similar services in the most recent year.
