Town of Pound reports negative net balance; board approves December report and $320,222.80 in vouchers

Treasurer Janelle Rymer presented the Town of Pound’s December 2025 financial report at the board’s Jan. 13 meeting, showing a Money Market Account at Peshtigo National Bank with $78,934.49 and a Checking Account balance of $-156,599.82, for a combined total of $-77,665.33.
Rymer also reported receipts #8706 through #8734 totaling $290,911.62. Supervisor Dave Pellman moved to approve the December 2025 financial report; Supervisor Mike Zeitler seconded. The motion carried 5-0.
Clerk Jessica Olson then presented January 2026 vouchers, listing checks #17304 through #17360 and electronic transfers totaling $320,222.80. Supervisor Jeff Patenaude moved to approve the submitted vouchers; Supervisor Jeff Nowak seconded. The motion carried 5-0.
The minutes record the account balances, receipt and voucher ranges, and unanimous approval of the report and vouchers. The minutes do not include departmental budget breakdowns or an explanation for the negative combined balance recorded for December 2025.
