The Green Township Board of Education on Nov. 19 approved several personnel motions, including new substitute and paraprofessional hires, an acceptance of resignations and retirements, leaves of absence, and an across-the-board paraprofessional pay increase tied to the state minimum wage change effective Jan. 1, 2026.
Personnel chair Dr. Melissa Vela presented the items. Motions included approval of Carly Van Skiver as a substitute school nurse pending background clearance; acceptance of the resignation of Christine Bollman-Decker effective Nov. 30, 2025; and acceptance of the retirement of Amelia O’Neill effective at the end of the 2025–26 school year.
The board set the ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) service rate at $28.84 per hour and specified that if ABA services are provided during the school day, the district will pay the difference between $28.84 and the employee’s hourly rate; after-school ABA would be paid at $28.84 per hour. The board listed Amelia O’Neill and Angela Manni as employees authorized to administer ABA services.
In recognition of the New Jersey minimum-wage increase to $15.92/hour on Jan. 1, 2026, the district approved an increase of $0.43/hour for all paraprofessionals for the remainder of the 2025–26 school year. The motions also approved paraprofessionals (named in the motions) at specified rates including a $1.00/hour diapering differential where applicable.
Other personnel approvals included substitute paraprofessionals, substitute custodial hire and athletic coaching appointments. Most motions were moved by the personnel committee and passed on roll call.
