Mayor Orr called the Greenwich Township Committee to order, saying, “adequate notice of this meeting was provided in compliance with the Open Public Meeting Act,” and recorded a quorum of Mayor Orr, Deputy Mayor Reinhart and Committeeman Werley.
The Committee unanimously approved several routine but consequential municipal items during the May 19 meeting, including renewal of plenary retail and club liquor licenses for the July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027 term, insertion of a $4,000 Clean Communities revenue item into the 2026 budget, authorization for a grant submittal for fire‑safety equipment, and payment of bills totaling $139,500.04.
The Committee adopted Resolution 5-23-2026 renewing plenary retail consumption, plenary retail distribution and club licenses and directed that a certified copy be filed with the Director of Alcoholic Beverage Control. The resolution lists Sea Level at Hancock Harbor, LLC (PRC 0606-33-001-012) among the renewed licenses and cites compliance with Title 33 of the New Jersey Statutes governing alcoholic beverage licensing.
The Committee then approved Resolution 5-24-2026 under N.J.S.A. 40A:4-87 to insert a special revenue item in the 2026 budget: $4,000 identified as revenue from New Jersey Clean Communities and a corresponding $4,000 appropriation under the caption “Clean Communities.”
On procedural motions, the Committee authorized Triad to submit an Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) application for replacement/purchase of self‑contained breathing apparatus (SCBAs). The authorization was moved by Committeeman Werley and seconded by Deputy Mayor Reinhart and carried unanimously.
The Committee approved payment of bills totaling $139,500.04 on a motion by Mayor Orr, seconded by Committeeman Werley; the roll call vote was unanimous among the three members present.
During public comment, Fire Chief Charles Reinhart reported that the department’s trailer had been delivered to the City of Vineland and said the department received a donation/grant of 2,352 cans of bottled water from NVFC/Anheuser‑Busch. There were no further public comments.
The Committee recorded several unfinished‑business items for follow-up: review of a snow‑plowing RFP (Ms. Colaneri re‑sent the RFP to committee members), follow‑up on a lead paint/rental registration listing forwarded by the clerk to the zoning officer, and work on amendments to a CCO/CO ordinance by Zoning Officer Mr. Sheppard and Mr. Seeley. Conflict solicitor Nathan Van Embden reviewed the procedure for rescinding and reintroducing prior cannabis ordinances; no ordinance action was taken at the meeting.
The meeting adjourned after routine business was completed. The Committee did not take further substantive votes on zoning changes or property‑specific matters at this session.
