Green Township Board adopts 2025–26 goals, approves programs, contracts and technology disposals

The Green Township Board of Education on Sept. 17 approved its 2025–26 district goals and a package of routine but consequential actions, including adoption of a universal screening program for early literacy, a SkillsUSA drone program, several service contracts and the disposal of end-of-life technology.
The board voted to approve four district goals focused on strengthening mathematics and English language arts achievement, boosting student connectivity and belonging, and developing a strategic financial plan for short-term stability and long-term forecasting. Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Cenatiempo told the board the district opened the school year with 434 students, including roughly 80 new enrollees, and said trustees would receive monthly progress updates beginning in October.
In a set of curriculum and program approvals the board adopted the Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS) as the district’s K–3 universal screening program, as required by the New Jersey Department of Education. The board also approved participation in the SkillsUSA drone mission program — a student-registration fee of $18 per student and equipment purchases (drone and cages) not to exceed $1,000 — to be funded from Title IVA.
Finance items approved included the General Fund bills list for Aug. 21–Sept. 17 totaling $1,035,585.43 and several service agreements: a Best Choice Homecare, LLC registered nurse services contract at $73 per hour (five-hour minimum) and a tuition contract with Windsor Learning Center for student ID#2497 at a per diem rate of $367, for an annualized cost of $77,070. The board also approved disposal/recycling of end-of-life technology items — notably 247 Chromebooks and 49 iPads — to be processed at no cost to the district.
Personnel actions included acceptance of the resignation of Jacqueline Mull and approval of several hires and appointments: substitute custodian Daniel Youngblood; paraprofessionals Sean Hardy, Monerh Shaabheh and Victoria Fox; and stipend appointments including athletic director Kyle Mosner and grade-advisors. The board approved various professional-development requests and field trips, and multiple PTA-sponsored fundraisers and family events for the 2025–26 school year.
A separate facilities motion authorized the static landing and static display of a Black Hawk helicopter on Nov. 12, 2025, behind the baseball diamond at the district’s athletic fields, with the landing area to be marked and coordinates available upon request.
