The Green Township Board of Education moved into executive (closed) session at 8:44 p.m. on March 3, 2025, to discuss matters the board said were permitted under its open meetings exceptions: pending or anticipated litigation, attorney-client privilege and personnel matters affecting a specific prospective or current employee.
The motion to enter executive session was made by Dr. Melissa Vela and seconded by Mrs. Heather Ellersick; the transcript records that all members present voted "Aye." The board reconvened into public session at 9:30 p.m.; that motion was made by Mrs. Heather Ellersick and seconded by Mrs. Maureen McGuire, and the reconvening likewise recorded unanimous votes from members present. The meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m. after a motion by Mrs. Amy Jones and seconded by Mrs. Maureen McGuire.
The board's closed-session minutes will remain confidential until the need for confidentiality no longer exists, the board said. No substantive details of the litigation or personnel matters were disclosed in public session.
