The Green Township Board of Education voted unanimously on June 11 to ratify a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Green Township Education Association covering the period July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2029. The board authorized the Board President to execute a successor collective negotiations agreement upon finalization.
The motion to ratify the MOA was made by Vice President Ann Marie Cooke and seconded by Heather Ellersick; the roll-call vote recorded all members in favor. The MOA was noted by the board to reflect mutually adopted salary guides and terms previously ratified by the GTEA.
Sue Miller, speaking for the bargaining unit during the meeting, thanked the board and said the process “was a little difficult, but in the end, we came to an agreement,” noting appreciation for the board’s work. Board members did not amend the motion on the floor, and no conditions were attached to the ratification.
The approval means contract terms negotiated between the board and the teachers’ association will be implemented beginning with the 2025–26 fiscal year as written in the MOA. The Board President was authorized to sign the finalized agreement and the board will publish or make available contract documentation as required by local policy and statute.
