GREEN TOWNSHIP — The Green Township Environmental Advisory Committee convened its reorganization meeting at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 4, where members took oaths of office and selected new leadership for the year.
The meeting opened with roll call confirming Cynthia Moyano, Fausto Moyano, Ellen Lessin, Matthew Fox and Christopher Sullivan were present. The committee approved the Nov. 5, 2024, minutes on a motion by Cynthia Moyano, seconded by Ellen Lessin; the motion carried unanimously.
During reorganization, oaths were administered to returning members Fausto Moyano, Ellen Lessin and Matthew Fox for three-year terms, and to Christopher Sullivan for a one-year term. Ellen Lessin nominated Matthew Fox for vice-chair; the nomination was seconded by Fausto Moyano and approved by all members. Fausto Moyano then nominated Cynthia Moyano for chair, seconded by Matthew Fox; that motion was also approved unanimously. Oaths for the appointed chair and vice-chair were completed during the meeting.
The committee also approved its meeting schedule for the remainder of 2025 and the first two months of 2026, noting a regular monthly cadence on selected Tuesdays. A letter from DuBois & Associates notifying the committee of a permit application to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection was entered for informational purposes; no action was required.
The committee adjourned at 6:20 p.m. Its next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 5:30 p.m.
