Hainesport board approves donation for playground fence and routine finance, placement and membership items

At its Oct. 21 meeting, the Hainesport Township Board of Education approved a series of finance, facilities and student-service items including a resolution to accept up to $45,000 from Hainesport Township to install a fence around the school playground.

The board approved two out-of-district placements listed on the agenda: student ID #12961 to Y.A.L.E School North II for the 2025–26 year at an annual cost of $58,509 (180 days), and a revised contract for student ID #13398 at Interactive Kids with a revised annual tuition of $42,300 prorated for the remainder of the 2025–26 school year.

The board also approved a contract with the Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired for student #13527 for $2,541 for the 2025–26 school year, and voted to continue district membership in the purchasing co-ops TIPS and HCESC. Board business items included acceptance of required financial reports (Board Secretary’s and Treasurer’s reports), authorization related to payment of bills and submission of the Comprehensive Maintenance Plan (Form M-1) to the Burlington County Office of Education.

Other approvals included participation in a middle school wrestling program administered by Rancocas Valley Regional High School, several field trips, numerous professional development requests, and ratification of extra-curricular appointments (after-school detention staff and a volleyball assistant).
