Town and VFW honor first responders; police promotions recognized

The police chief recognized two recent promotions: one employee was promoted to lieutenant in October and another promoted to sergeant in December; an oath of office and badge presentations were performed during the meeting.
Council and the mayor thanked recipients and invited them to remain for the regular meeting. There were no formal votes related to these recognitions; they were ceremonial acknowledgements of service.
