Chamber asks council to relocate civic-organization display to Western Park after storm damage

Erica Daniels, executive director of the Parker Regional Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, described the Chamber’s efforts to trace the original authorization for the earlier display and said advertising a fixed lease on tribal land is not feasible for the Chamber at present: “At this point, we'd have to lease, like, a whole lot of land just to be able to put that sign there, and that's not feasible right now for the chamber,” she said.
Council members voiced general support for locating the display on town property to avoid lease hurdles and to enhance the town’s welcome signage. Staff said they will work with the Chamber and legal to determine size, lighting, safety clearances and whether ADOT approvals are required for roadside sightlines.
