After interviews, board appoints Amy Jones and Kristin Post to fill vacancies

The Green Township Board of Education interviewed four candidates to fill two board vacancies and, after executive session, appointed Amy Jones and Kristin Post to one-year terms ending Dec. 31, 2025.
The board used a joint interview process in which each candidate was asked the same six questions. Candidates described motivations for serving, praised district responsiveness to concerns and emphasized priorities such as student safety, fiscal responsibility and greater parent outreach. Amy Jones said she wanted to "be involved in decisions, have impact on students/community" and cited personal ties to the district; Kristin Post said she was "very fortunate already to have been a part" and wanted to continue supporting student success.
After a closed-session review, motions to appoint Jones and Post carried and the Board Secretary administered the oaths of office. The board directed that committee lists be reviewed following the appointments and scheduled its next meeting for Jan. 15, 2025.
