Council approves leases, contracts and event permits; several routine resolutions pass

The Frenchtown Borough Council moved through a consent agenda and passed multiple routine resolutions and permits.
The council approved Resolution 2025-47 authorizing a lease agreement with Toshiba Business Solutions for new printers in Burrow Hall and the police department and later approved Resolution 2025-48, a contract with Hunterdon Behavioral Health to provide an employee assistance program for borough employees.
Council also approved Resolution 2025-49 awarding the borough's affordable housing administrative agent contract to CGP and H LLC, and Resolution 2025-50 extending budget process dates per a local finance notice. The governing body took separate votes to authorize a borough engineer to solicit bids for the Ward Street improvement project (Resolution 2025-52) and to approve change order work, partial payments and budget transfers for ongoing projects.
On new business, the council approved a raffle application for the Frenchtown American Legion; granted the Frenchtown Lions Club permission for scheduled coin-toss fundraising dates; approved the Farmland Ride to pass through Frenchtown on June 8, 2025; and granted tentative approval for the FBPA Green Fair dates. The River Harvest farmers market was approved to use Old Frenchtown Field for a May'November series (pending receipt of required insurance and standard conditions on logistics and parking). The Raritan Headwaters Association's Stream Cleanup event was also approved.
