The Hainesport Township Board of Education on May 6 approved a slate of personnel reappointments, summer-hour assignments, Extended School Year (ESY) hires and several contract renewals and service resumption requests.
Human Resources Chair Jason Cardonick presented reappointments of tenured and non‑tenured certificated staff and support staff for the 2025-26 school year and the renewal of the Treasurer contract with Donna Condo for July 1, 2025–June 30, 2026. The board approved the personnel and contract renewals as presented.
The board also approved several ESY appointments and hourly rates listed in the agenda; multiple ESY positions were set at $43.15 per hour for the 7/1/25–7/24/25 ESY period. Summer-hour assignments for district staff were approved for dates between July 1 and Aug. 31, 2025, with maximum hours and pay rates referenced to contracted/CBA rates.
In Student Services actions, the board approved the resumption of educational services at the Burlington County Special Services School District (BCSSSD) for an out‑of‑district student (ID #OD-0438) for 52 days at $301.27 per day (total $15,666.04). The board also approved resumption of in‑school nursing services for that same student with Starlight Homecare Agency, Inc. for 45 days at 6.25 hours per day at $67 per hour (total $18,843.75), as recorded in the meeting agenda and minutes.
On finance and contracts, the board approved renewal of the contract with Brett DiNovi & Associates for the 2025-2026 school year at no rate increase and approved the disposal and recycling of broken and antiquated technology through EZPC Recycling. The board also approved field trips (grade 4 Franklin Institute; grade 8 RVRHS graduation rehearsal) and routine monthly financial reports.
Two additional resolutions were approved later in the meeting: Resolution 2024-25 #24 (Sharing PILOT Revenue) and Resolution 2024-25 #25 (renewal of multiple county and municipal contract services). The meeting minutes record those motions as carried; the transcript does not provide an unambiguous per-member split of yes/no votes and therefore individual tallies are not specified in this report.
Why it matters: Approvals for ESY services and out‑of‑district placements affect special education service delivery and district budgets; contract renewals and personnel reappointments set staffing and vendor relationships for the coming school year.
The board adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
