Township Attorney Elissa Grodd Schragger responded that the Township hoped to begin the main phase of cleanup on March 1 but that litigation remains ongoing and is affecting control over some aspects of the project. Schragger said the first phase — removal of hazardous materials — has already been completed and estimated the full cleanup process will take about eight weeks. When Ms. Glonek asked about construction across Kuser Road opposite Foley's, the attorney said the project there involved storage facilities.
Those statements were made during the public-comment portion of the meeting; the Council otherwise conducted routine agenda business, including votes on contracts and ordinances.
