Frenchtown swears in two new council members and elects Michelle Leaton as council president

The meeting’s chair (the mayor/chair) provided a brief project update: the Hilltop Streets project remains in punch-list work and likely will carry into spring, Ward Street is in design with funding ordinance in place for resurfacing and reconstruction, the library project is nearly complete (new floor, air conditioning and an ADA-compliant entrance), coordination continues on potential skate park locations, and the borough is pursuing grants for South Washington Street/River Road and Harrison Street resurfacing including an enhanced crosswalk near Frenchtown Elementary. Council members offered brief comments of thanks to volunteers and noted upcoming county shared-services events.
