Branson Planning Commission approves minutes, continues Branson Landing street-vacation and Longstone 2 plat to Dec. 2

The Branson Planning Commission met Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, approved its Oct. 7 meeting minutes and unanimously continued two public-hearing items to Dec. 2, 2025. Chair opened the meeting and led the pledge of allegiance before the Clerk conducted roll call and confirmed a six-member quorum.
The commission voted to approve the minutes from Oct. 7, 2025. The Clerk announced the roll-call result: 6 votes in favor, 0 opposed. The Chair then opened the public-hearing portion of the agenda.
The first public hearing concerned a request to vacate portions of street right-of-way around the roundabout at 500 Branson Landing Boulevard (the intersection of Branson Landing Boulevard, Purnell Drive, Skaggs Road and Veterans Boulevard). "Please note, the applicant has requested a continuance to Tuesday, 12/02/2025," the Chair said. The commission voted 6–0 to postpone the hearing to Dec. 2, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. The Clerk stated the item will move forward for a first reading and public hearing before the Board of Aldermen on Dec. 9, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers.
The commission then opened a public hearing on the final plat for Longstone 2 in Branson. The applicant similarly requested more time; the commission voted 6–0 to continue the matter to Dec. 2, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. The Clerk noted the item will proceed to the Board of Aldermen for first reading and public hearing on Jan. 13, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.
In brief staff business, the Clerk announced that the 2026 project-deadline schedule for Planning Commission meetings is posted on the city's Planning and Development webpage under the planning division. A commissioner offered brief remarks thanking staff and wishing commissioners and the public a happy Thanksgiving.
Votes at a glance: The commission recorded unanimous (6–0) votes to approve the Oct. 7, 2025 minutes; to continue the street-vacation public hearing for 500 Branson Landing to Dec. 2, 2025; and to continue the Longstone 2 final-plat hearing to Dec. 2, 2025.
