Carrie Feuer and Rick Tighe reported the job fair is scheduled for March 20, and that WPC (Water Pollution Control) has an environmental scientist who visits local middle schools to give presentations. The minutes record that PFAS matters are being heard in Trenton and that a judge is implementing procedures related to those matters. The minutes also note that WPC now hauls its own sludge and the Township no longer pays a vendor for that service.
Commissioners were told the Township Police Department received a second K-9. The administration remains involved in America’s 250th tree-planting plans; the Shade Tree Commission will lead the effort with the Environmental Commission invited to provide input.
Claudia Shaughnessy raised concerns about Wing Haven’s lack of a crosswalk, parking, or walking path, and proposed that, because it is not advertised as a public park, the Commission explore permission for a local beekeeper to place a honey box there; Carrie Feuer said she will ask Administration about both the beekeeper question and installing a larger informational sign similar to the George Dye signage.
Jeanette Bergeron said the Mayor approved the Monarch Pledge for 2026 and that a proclamation will be prepared; Carrie Feuer will coordinate with Bianca and the Mayor on that step.
No formal Council or administrative decisions were recorded in the minutes; liaison items were presented for information and follow-up directions were assigned to ask Administration about Wing Haven signage and beekeeper permission.
