The State Building Commission on Feb. 27 recorded approvals for several University of Wisconsin System funding requests and program releases. Actions included release of $2,055,000 SEG REV across Act 102 projects and $286,000 SEG REV for Act 19 projects to develop preliminary plans and specifications, as well as authorization to release $17,110,300 SEG REV for the Multi-Building Demolition Program and approvals for instructional space and minor facilities renewal releases.
Representative Jill Billings moved the planning releases and multi-building demolition release; votes at the subcommittee level were recorded with one subcommittee roll shown as 3-0-1 (Representative Robert Wittke absent), and full-commission approvals were recorded 8-0-0 in the minutes.
Specific items included planning-design releases for chiller replacement and central utility plant work, multiple demolition projects (including Chemistry Building demolition at Milwaukee), and program releases for 2023-25 Instructional Space and Technology Projects totaling $6,261,000 SEG REV and $6,085,000 SEG REV for the Minor Facilities Renewal Program. The Commission also authorized the Division of Facilities Development to adjust individual project budgets within enumerated program totals.
