The State of Wisconsin Building Commission on Feb. 27 approved Resolution 1 authorizing the sale and issuance of general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $290,660,000 to fund construction or improvements of facilities, grants and acquisition of land for statewide purposes.
Senator André Jacque moved the resolution and Representative Rob Swearingen seconded; the motion carried on the recorded action of the Commission. The minutes record the resolution as approved 8-0-0.
The measure was presented under the agenda item labeled “Debt Management.” The resolution text in the meeting materials specified that bonds may be issued in fixed or variable rate form and are intended to support a range of capital and land-acquisition needs across state agencies.
