A staff presenter said the same contractor that worked on similar fixes last year provided the estimate and recommended the board authorize the stormwater superintendent to sign the contract. The board moved, seconded and approved a not-to-exceed amount for the combined repairs.
Board members clarified the repairs are for the north side of the road, near Summerfield, and not an extension of city sewer lines into private property. The funding was described as available in the appropriate operations/construction line in the stormwater budget.
Next steps: staff to finalize contract documents and schedule the work; the superintendent is authorized to sign the agreement on the board—ehalf.
