Newton Chamber director highlights new staff, July 4 parade and business programs

Ella White, the new executive director of the Greater Newton Area Chamber of Commerce, updated the Newton City Council on June 15 about staff changes, upcoming events and Chamber activities aimed at promoting local businesses.
White introduced a new marketing coordinator, Cadence On, and said the coordinator is assisting Newton Main Street. She listed ribbon-cutting events (including one with Home Instead), the Chamber’s monthly Coffee & Commerce networking (last Tuesday, 7:30–8:30 a.m. at Westside Java), and the city’s July 4 parade scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m. She said the Chamber’s recent golf outing had 26 teams and 22 sponsors, producing a 37.5% increase in projected revenue compared with expectations.
White also said the Chamber is reviving a young professionals group for ages 21–40 and planning a fall community event and a new 2027 business directory. She invited council members and the public to participate in events and vendor opportunities and provided a contact email (director@newtonichamber.com) for vendors.
Council members thanked White and noted opportunities to support Chamber events and volunteer participation.
