Donna Baltakis, chairperson of Keep Eunice Beautiful, told the board that the group had again received the President’s Circle Recognition Award from Keep America Beautiful and that KEB applied for a grant from Keep Louisiana Beautiful. She asked for volunteers to support 'Love The Boot' week, scheduled for April 5–13, 2025, and noted volunteers had begun Pre‑Mardi Gras cleanup across the city.
Dr. Tony Baltakis, president of the Eunice Public Library Board, reported that Genna Donaldson will represent the library at the Southeast Library Association and Louisiana Library Association meeting on March 20, 2025, and that plans are underway to create a 'Friends of the Library' organization. He also said building siding would be removed and second‑floor floors redone as part of facility work.
Mayor Scott A. Fontenot announced the city's Mardi Gras celebration dates of Friday, Feb. 28 through Tuesday, March 4, 2025. The board also heard brief introductions from the 2025 Cajun Festival Mardi Gras queens.
