The letter, entered into the record, said in part: "We will take next week to prepare the lobby for reopening. The lobby will officially reopen to customers on Monday, February 17."
Alderwoman Germaine Simpson had placed the item on the agenda and asked that a LAWCO representative attend the meeting; the mayor said he had received the referenced letter from Broussard. The letter was the only LAWCO communication recorded in the minutes; no LAWCO representative spoke in person at the meeting.
The minutes do not include additional detail about hours of operation, staffing, or services to be available when the lobby reopens. The board recorded the letter as part of the mayor’s announcements and moved on to subsequent agenda items.
