Early council adopts five ordinances on pedestrians, electronic meetings, budgeting, minutes and fireworks

On July 1 the Early City Council unanimously adopted five ordinances covering a range of municipal rules. The ordinances—Nos. 332, 333, 334, 335 and 336—were each offered for first reading and had second and third readings waived before final adoption.
Ordinance 332 amends provisions pertaining to pedestrians’ right‑of‑way; Ordinance 333 updates rules for electronic meetings; Ordinance 334 changes aspects of operating budget preparation; Ordinance 335 modifies how minutes are published; and Ordinance 336 revises fireworks provisions. For each ordinance the council recorded a roll call vote (Ayes: Pickhinke, Scadden, Madden, Langner, Tiefenthaler) and the Mayor declared the ordinances duly adopted. Copies of the ordinances were made part of the meeting record.
Councilors moved and seconded the waivers and final adoption as follows: Ordinance 332 (moved by Pickhinke, seconded by Madden), Ordinance 333 (moved by Madden, seconded by Langner), Ordinance 334 (moved by Pickhinke, seconded by Scadden), Ordinance 335 (moved by Tiefenthaler, seconded by Langner), and Ordinance 336 (moved by Madden, seconded by Pickhinke). No dissenting votes were recorded.
The adopted ordinances will be available as part of the city’s official record; staff indicated copies are attached to the meeting minutes.
