Council approves consent agenda including Joseph L. Boulevard change order and introduces salary ordinance for 2025

During the June 24 meeting the borough solicitor read a multi-item consent agenda and the council approved the package by motion and roll call.

The solicitor listed the resolutions on the consent agenda: Resolution 191 (authorizing change order #1 for the Joseph L. Boulevard construction), Resolution 192 (authorization to participate in the state-local cooperative housing inspection program), Resolution 193 (refund of street-opening performance guarantee to E & K Properties LLC), Resolution 194 (providing for insertion of a special item of revenue in the budget pursuant to the statutory citation read into the record), Resolution 195 (authorizing duplicate tax sale certificates pursuant to NJSA 54:5-52.1), Resolution 196 (authorizing execution of a settlement agreement with Crossing to Glassboro LP), and Resolution 197 (authorizing execution of a collection-location and LGU semiannual report form for the Borough of Glassboro). The solicitor said, “They the the resolutions this evening.”

Council moved and approved the consent agenda; the clerk recorded approvals and noted individual abstentions later in the meeting on separate bills. The council also introduced Ordinance 25-18, which the solicitor described as fixing and establishing the salaries and compensation for borough officers and employees for 2025; the introduction passed with a motion and roll-call approval at first reading.

The consent agenda includes the Joseph L. Boulevard change order and an authorization to execute a settlement agreement; the council approved these routine matters as part of the consent agenda. The solicitor’s reading is the formal record for each resolution and the clerk will file final documentation as required.
