Hamilton Council advances cannabis licenses and votes on parking/filming ordinances

The clerk introduced Resolution 125-441, authorizing a one-year class non-accommodative cultivator license (license 1103CD-001-001) for Urbanmore LLC. Council closed public comment with no speakers and voted to adopt the resolution.
The council then considered Resolution 225-442 to renew a Class 2 manufacturer's license for Sun Extractions Inc. The clerk explained the renewal timing (partial 2025 period and full 2026 calendar year) is intended to align renewals to the calendar year. The motion to renew was moved and seconded. During roll call, one member announced an abstention; the clerk recorded the abstention and the renewal motion advanced.
On ordinances, the council held second readings and votes to repeal or establish designated handicapped parking spaces at multiple addresses and approved an ordinance (25-024) updating municipal-park filming fees to mirror state Motion Picture and Television Commission guidance.
