Stetsonville approves DPW pay increase, accepts utility and maintenance reports, and approves bills; closed session held on personnel

On Jan. 12, 2026 the Village of Stetsonville board approved a pay increase for DPW employee Jay Jochimsen, accepted wastewater and water reports (all tests within guidelines), approved vouchers 1921–1969 and EFTs, named poll workers, scheduled audits and Board of Review meetings, and entered a closed session for personnel.
At its Jan. 12 meeting the Village of Stetsonville board handled a range of operational items, approving a pay increase for Department of Public Works employee Jay Jochimsen after members said they were "very satisfied" with his performance. The motion to increase pay was moved by Al Riemer, seconded by Stephanie Bohn, and recorded as "All ayes." The minutes note Jochimsen is current on his wastewater and municipal water certifications and that the pay increase is effective with the current pay period.
Clerk/Treasurer Tia M. Kancilia presented financial and utility reports that included bank balances, expenditures, a utility report, and a garbage-collection report. She told the board there were eight utility accounts with warning disconnection notices and that the village had received DOT aid. The board recorded approval of receipt of the clerk’s report (motion by Riemer/Lemke; All ayes). An audit was scheduled for Jan. 28–30, 2026.
DPW Jay Jochimsen presented municipal wastewater and water reports and said all test results were within required guidelines. He told the board that City of Medford is doing the Department of Natural Resources paperwork for the water plant, and that new chemical feed pumps for the water plant will be ordered; AMS will return in spring to complete sludge removal from wastewater ponds.
The board approved payment of vouchers 1921 through 1969 and EFTs 01-01 through 01-11 (motion by Tyler Lemke, second by Al Riemer; All ayes). The board also named Kris Zuleger, Geraldine Spanbauer and Jan Tischendorf as poll workers and scheduled the Board of Review for May 11, 2026 at 3:45 p.m.
The board moved into a closed session for personnel discussion (motion McCarron/Bohn; All ayes), then reconvened and adjourned the closed session (motion Bohn/McCarron; All ayes). The public minutes do not record actions taken in closed session. The meeting adjourned after the closed session.
