Stetsonville board forwards library agreement; will consider director’s request to bring puppy as support animal in November

At the Oct. 20 meeting, the Village of Stetsonville board voted to provide a draft intergovernmental agreement to the Jean M. Thomsen Memorial Library for review and possible approval by the library board.
Trustee Will McCarron moved, with Al Riemer seconding, to forward the draft agreement to the library; the motion carried unanimously. Library Director Ellyn Laska told trustees she hopes to bring a new puppy to the library as an emotional‑support animal and is working on the required paperwork. The board said it would take the request under consideration and vote at the November meeting.
Other library items noted in the minutes: Halloween hours are scheduled Friday, Oct. 31, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and the Fire Hall will provide treats. The minutes also include the clerk’s notice that the Nov. 10 budget hearing and adoption will be held at the library at 4 p.m., with the regular board meeting to follow.
