Resident Judy Crosby said she identified the bylaw conflict and raised concern that appointing an ineligible individual would violate town bylaws and that the town's online bylaws had not yet been updated, contributing to confusion.
Town Moderator Andrew Nebenzahl said appointment authority rests with the Moderator and he had not completed his review with Town Counsel; he emphasized no appointment decision had been made and said he would independently review the issue prior to Town Meeting to ensure compliance with applicable bylaws.
