Glassboro council adopts two ordinances, approves firefighter appointments

The Glassboro Mayor and Council on Aug. 26, 2025, voted to adopt two ordinances and approved resolutions appointing two firefighters.

The council opened public hearings for Ordinance 25-20, which amends board of health membership and terms, and Ordinance 25-21, which adds a transitional duty policy to the borough's personnel policies. No members of the public offered comments; a council member moved to close the public portion and adopt the ordinances "as written," and the measures were adopted by roll call.

The meeting also adopted two appointment resolutions: Resolution 2-42-25 appointing Scott J. Erwin as a firefighter and Resolution 2-43-25 appointing Salvatore Nelson as a firefighter. Council members and the mayor offered congratulations to the new firefighters during committee reports and administration remarks.
