At the meeting the board approved three separate resolutions affecting public works and sewer operations.
Resolution 2025-54 authorized purchase of a fine-screen escalator assembly rebuild parts package for the wastewater treatment plant. Public works staff (S7) described the unit as the headworks fine-screen; the parts package is proprietary and totals $30,146.22 including freight. Staff said the unit can be taken apart and the work completed so the pump is back in service in about two days; the board approved the purchase.
Resolution 2025-55 authorized purchase of a 2026 Ford F-150 SuperCab (state contract price) for the sewer department to serve a newly created full-time utility supervisor position. Staff (S7) said the truck cost is $44,294 from Watkins Ford; the board approved the corrected price and purchase.
Resolution 2025-56 authorized a scope of work and contract for collection-system repairs (grout-packing) on an approximately 472-foot run of older VCP pipe between Main Street and Bass. Staff estimated about 90 joints to be sealed and recommended a not-to-exceed amount; the board approved award and set authorization at not to exceed $30,000 for the contract.
