The Hobart Police Pension Board unanimously approved additions to the Police and Fire Public Employees’ Retirement Fund at a special meeting on July 1, 2026.
The board approved minutes from its previous meeting after a motion by Michael Brazil and a second from Kevin Garber; the motion passed 4-0. The primary business of the session was consideration of three new PERF applicants.
Kevin Garber moved to accept Joseph Pieczul into the Police and Fire PERF; Michael Brazil seconded the motion, which the board approved 4-0. Garber then moved to accept Thomas Guerino; Michael Brazil seconded, and that motion also passed 4-0. The board repeated the same mover/second pattern to accept Christopher Stroh into PERF, with a 4-0 vote.
Clerk-Treasurer Deborah Longer recorded the roll call. Present were Clerk-Treasurer Deborah Longer, Active Police Officer Timothy Pochron, Active Police Officer Kevin Garber and Retired Police Officer Michael Brazil. Mayor Josh Huddlestun, Robert Brazil and James Gonzales were listed as absent in the meeting record.
No announcements were made. Kevin Garber moved to adjourn; Michael Brazil seconded, and the board adjourned at 10:24 a.m.
