Travis Grubbs, representing the Rib Lake Community Development Foundation, asked the board to support Resolution 11-24 so the foundation could apply for a Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) Small Business Development Grant and, if awarded, administer an Angel Investment Grant Program. Trustee Marschke moved and Trustee Cliff Mann seconded approval of Resolution 11-24; the motion carried.
Grubbs also asked the Village to split the $50,000 matching funds for that grant ($25,000 village / $25,000 RLCDF). The board did not move on that matching-fund request and no formal action was recorded on the split-funding proposal.
Separately, Grubbs requested the board’s support for a Vibrant Spaces Grant to fund a bandshell project. Trustee Budimlija moved and Trustee Jones seconded approval of Resolution 12-24 to support the bandshell application; the motion carried.
The recorded actions are approvals to support grant applications; the minutes do not document any pledged village matching contribution for the Small Business Development Grant. The RLCDF may proceed with its grant applications according to the foundation’s timeline.
