Village approves street closure and event permits for fall community events

The Rib Lake Village Board approved several event permits at its Aug. 14 meeting, clearing the way for two upcoming community events.
Tiffany Hanke requested a street closure of Landall Avenue between McComb Avenue and Mill Street to host a saw competition on Saturday, Oct. 5. The board approved closing the street from noon to 5 p.m. on a motion by Buksa, seconded by Jones. Motion carried.
The board also approved a picnic license for Good Shepherd Catholic Church’s Fall Festival on Sunday, Aug. 25 (Marschke, seconded by Tesch) and granted a temporary bartender’s license for Tom Gojmerac for that festival (Mann, seconded by Budimlija). All motions carried.
