Brimfield trustees rescind fiscal officer resignation and reverse July 28 appointment in emergency meeting

Kostensky then moved to rescind Motion #2025-244, the July 28, 2025 appointment of Jasmine Golden as fiscal officer. Fields seconded; Kostensky and Fields voted yes, Coia was absent, and the motion passed, undoing Goldens prior appointment.
Resident Jake Whetstone spoke during public comment, saying the meeting had been called with about an hours notice and expressing concern that declaring the gathering an "emergency meeting" or any pre-meeting discussions among trustees could violate open-meeting law. "I am very disappointed and embarrassed by the board," Whetstone said.
The meeting was called to order at 2:00 p.m. by Trustee Sue Fields and adjourned at 2:21 p.m. after Trustee Mike Kostensky moved to adjourn and Fields seconded; the roll call vote passed among the present members.
