Parks Director Lina Hicks told the council the $15,000 previously authorized by council would be allocated as follows: $8,500 for parade barriers lining the route, $2,500 for overtime to cover six additional city staff, and $4,000 to the Chamber of Commerce for hiring security and event staffing. Hicks recommended approval, noting the funds had previously been authorized and the resolution clarifies how they will be spent.
A motion to approve the resolution was made, seconded and approved by voice vote; the resolution passed during the June 22 meeting.
