The Hobart City Redevelopment Authority on the evening granted a six‑month extension to petition 23‑12, the proposed Bickley Hollow 67‑lot subdivision, after hearing an update from the developer.
The petitioner told the board the market has improved since the last appearance, that the company has approximately 45 presold homes across projects and that it has committed about $156,000 through Baker Tilly to advance the development. The developer said the next step is to purchase the property outright and proceed with site work once financing is in place.
Commissioner Marco Rodriguez recommended considering a yearlong extension to allow coordination with planning and the common council, but other members favored a shorter check‑in. The board moved, seconded and approved a six‑month extension by voice vote.
Because this action was an extension of an application, the approval does not authorize construction; subsequent permits, site plan reviews and any required infrastructure agreements remain to be cleared in later proceedings.
The petitioner thanked the board and said he would return with updates at the next checkpoint.
