Farmingdale completes pole removals, readies spring work on water mains and paving; EV chargers installed

Crews also described post‑storm operations after 12 inches of snow on Jan. 25, including overnight plowing and cleanup at the LIRR station and across the business district and neighborhoods. A new grate for Moby Way was ordered through Roadwork Ahead.
Separately, electric‑vehicle charging stations have been installed; the village received a grant from PSEGLI and planned a public relations photo opportunity for Feb. 4, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. The minutes note that the installation is complete but do not record a presentation or formal vote on ongoing maintenance or pricing.
Work connected to stormwater — installation of piping from the Tulane sump to Arthur Street — was postponed until spring due to current and projected weather, according to the minutes.
