Farmingdale trustees approve property purchase, grant requests and infrastructure contracts

The Farmingdale Board of Trustees on March 2 approved a package of resolutions that included a $650,000 purchase of 141 Division Street, grants and infrastructure contracts and the rescheduling of a cell-service public hearing to June 1.
The board voted to purchase 141 Division Street for $650,000; the resolution states the acquisition will be financed through a future bond authorization. Trustees also approved submission of a fire-department grant application (resolution #2026-03-03) and a $1,000,000 grant request to be pursued through Congressman Thomas Suozzi for a new groundwater tank at the Ridge Road complex (resolution #2026-03-04).
Trustees approved a Community Development Block Grant request to Nassau County for $290,000 (resolution #2026-03-05) and authorized a robotic underwater inspection of the Ridge Road ground tank, with engineering reporting by Dvirka & Bartilucci for $6,225 (resolution #2026-03-07). In other business, the board accepted the Abstract of Audited Vouchers #1207 and minutes from Feb. 2 and Feb. 17 (resolution #2026-03-01).
The board also recorded actions taken at its Feb. 17 work session, including appointment of election inspectors, designation of Blink Fitness as the fire-department fitness provider for 45 members at a cost of $10,800, and approval of Music on Main dates for summer 2026. A previously scheduled Verizon/Marquis Plaza cell-service hearing was adjourned and reset for June 1 at 8:00 p.m. (resolution #2026-03-02).
No vote tallies were recorded in the meeting minutes for every March 2 resolution; where a tally was recorded earlier in the minutes, it is noted (for example, the downtown camera hardware approval in a February action was recorded as 4–0). The meeting moved to executive session on a later motion and reconvened before adjourning at 9:30 p.m.
