Staff noted the engineer’s estimate was $342,835.97. Commissioner (speaker 3) moved to accept the lowest bid with a 10% contingency; the board voted to approve the contract.
Earlier in the meeting the board accepted the consent agenda via voice vote after a motion by Commissioner (speaker 3). The commission also discussed vacancies on the board of building code appeals. Staff reported one timely application and another submitted after the agenda was posted; commissioners moved to reopen the application period for an additional 30 days and to bring the applicants back for consideration.
Staff committed to posting the budget options the board requested ahead of a required vote on the revenue-neutral rate next week. No additional executive session was requested.
The board adjourned after the routine items were completed.
