Boonsboro will not assume maintenance of additional stormwater ponds, council directs policy creation

After Town Planner Drew Bowen and the Town Attorney provided input, Council Member Ray Hanson moved and Council Member Terri Hollingshead seconded the motion to not take over additional ponds and to prepare a formal policy; the motion carried.
Council members expressed differing views about the town taking additional maintenance responsibilities, with concerns about cost and potential liabilities cited by those opposing takeover.
